The School Day

Make sure there is a good start for your child by ensuring that they have everything they need before they leave home - PE kit, musical instrument, lunch box, homework etc.

The playground is normally supervised by a member of staff from 8.45 a.m.  Pupils should not be on the playground before this time.  The playground is for pupils and we would ask that parents/carers who stay after this time move beyond the yellow lines which mark the boundaries of the playground.  The mix of pupils and parents is not conducive to good order or security and we are working with the Infant School to eliminate problems in this area.  We would ask all parents to cooperate by respecting these boundaries when leaving and collecting their children in the morning and at the end of the day.  If you wish to encourage your child's independence it is better to leave once they are in the playground.

School starts:                            8.55am

Assembly:                                 10.25 - 10.40am

Morning Break:                         10.40 - 11.00am

Lunch:                                       12.45 - 1.40pm

School ends:                              3.20pm

Pupils leave school via the playground.  They are reminded each term that if they are expecting to be collected and no-one is there, they return to school reception where they will be safe and helped with the situation.  They must not wander off the school site to look for anyone.  We will always take care of our pupils but please make sure your child knows what the arrangements are for picking up at home time before you leave them each morning.
